I can imagine at first Levi carries around this little colt of a human titan who is all gangly, oversized limbs and cowers away and hides his face in Levi’s shoulder whenever there is too attention on him? So whenever Levi wants him to pay attention or show his face to the assembled soldiers, he has to encourage and coerce him into looking around.
