Phantom HCs

freckled-words:

*cracks knuckles, cracks neck*

Phantom is who we would get if we took King Dice and The Devil from ‘Cuphead’ and blended them together.

He’s a chaotic force for certain, but he’s driven mostly be his own concerns and desires, so he doesn’t meddle with things unless there’s a personal benefit.

Those desires include collecting souls. But not just any souls, he chases after the souls of those that are connected to the arts. Writing, music, performing, sculpting, drawing, etc. Art is said to derive from the soul, and Phantom can see the full potential of an artist’s soul.

To him its a beautiful treasure, one that he can admire and display like an artwork itself. Of course they also grant him his strength.

Here’s what he does:

He’ll find an artist, ones that are struggling to achieve their goals. He feeds them a tidbit of what they can truly achieve with his help, no price needed for the sampler.

Once they’ve got the taste, and want the full buffet they sign the deal, always missing the fine print tucked into the tiny, curled corner of the contract. That itty bit of print reads, “If your soul reaches it’s peak in satisfaction, even for just an instant, it is forfeit.”

That’s what we saw happen to our magician friend in the video.

And if you’re wondering about all that info he was asking for, “mother’s maiden name, allergies, name of first pet.” That’s for their info cards that are placed next to their container on his shelves and displays.
