this is how you get tea to not be bitter. I didn’t like green tea until I learned not to brew it with boiling water.

protip: since most of us don’t have kettles with thermometers, the way I’ve figured out when to pour the water over my green tea is to either pour when the first bubbles start to break the surface, OR to wait five minutes after the water has boiled and the kettle has clicked off.
double protip: loose tea tastes worlds better than bagged tea, as bagged tea is often made from lesser quality leaves. I know it’s a pain in the ass, but it makes a big difference. I always thought I hated green tea, until I tried loose leaf Gunpowder green tea brewed at a lower temperature, and now I love it and drink it multiple times a day. I bought a teapot with a mesh basket to contain the leaves, and that makes it pretty easy.
Work at a loose leaf tea store, can confirm this is all correct. There’s also ways to make loose leaf not a pain in the ass like buying tea bags you can fill yourself and then dispose, or metal mesh baskets that aren’t hard to clean.

If you’re still posting the essay tips, this is what I learned for explanatory/informative essays! I’ve found it SUPER helpful and it always writes a structurally sound essay 🙂
INTRO– Use HLS(Hook, Line, Sinker.)
Hook- Can be anything from any type of quote, to a line you made up in a narrative. Grab the attention of the reader! And If you use a source, CITE IT!
Line- Draw them in and give a little preview on what you’re going to cover in your body paragraphs. This shouldn’t be intimidating to the reader.
Sinker- Link your topic to your intro, and state your thesis.
BODYPARAGRAPHS– Use CEAL(Claim, Evidence, Analysis, Link.) Usually, the minimal amount to use of these is three per essay but there isn’t any real limit. (You can structure them as a single CEAL, CEAEA…L, or CEE…AA…L)
Claim- This is your claim for the paragraph. All your evidence should easily be able to connect to it, and should support it. Usually one sentence.
Evidence- You can technically have as many pieces of evidence as you want, but you need to have the same amount of analysis. This is usually a quote to prove your claim or a statistic, though it’s common to use any kind of information.(In text citations are great here)
Analysis- This is the chunk of writing that ‘analyzes’ the evidence and tells us how it proves our claim. You should have at least one analysis per piece of evidence, and it should take up at least two to three times as much space as your evidence on paper or on screen.
Link- Your link reminds us and basically restates the claim of the paragraph in different words, and connects the evidence and analysis to the claim.
CONCLUSION– Use TRIP(Thesis, Review, Importance, Parting Thought)
Thesis Restatement- Restate your thesis in different words.
Review- Go over your main points that you addressed in your body paragraphs(Restate your claims in different words)
Importance- So what? Why does this topic matter? This and your review should be the largest parts of your conclusion.
Parting Thought- The last sentence(s) of your essay. Think this out beforehand, and try to make it something that people can relate to. This is the part that people will remember about your essay, so make it good!
