The narrator was running late and just showed up to a story already in progress. He doesn’t know who the heroes or villains are or even what genre this is.
It’s been seven days since you’ve watched the tape. The girl climbs out of the television, intending to end your miserable life. Your response: “Hey there beautiful, how you doin’?”
A curiosity shop opens up where you can rent superpowers, magical abilities, mystical artifacts, and mad science technology. The catch? Payments are made with abstract concepts. Life, memories, etc.
You have died and you were not good enough to go to heaven or bad enough to go to hell. To decide where to go, you are sentenced to one year helping people cross over into heaven or hell.
