This implies women arent ever the ones that push for their son to be circumcised, which is absolutley false. I get that this isn’t strictly a mom issue but at the same time this has nothing to do with religious institutions anymore. People circumcise their sons entirely for aesthetic and based on incorrect information like “it’s more hygienic”. Very rarely is it for religious reasons anymore. If we want to blame anything, we should blame the westernized idea of what a penis should look like. As well as misinformation as to what uncircumcised penises are like.
