Gilbert likes travelling and walking around downtown for long periods of time, dressed a lot like a bit of a rowdy kid, black skinny jeans, boots and leather jackets, and he goes to a lot of coffee shops and little known stores for stationary or food or other random shit, just to get away. Sometimes he just goes to alleys and plays with street dogs or smokes or hangs out with street performers, all the “loner” stuff.
Somehow, he convinces Roderich to leave the house and come with him, even if they stop to rest every twenty minutes. Knowing Roderich has a keen interest in music, he takes him to a record store, not the typical type of music Roderich likes, but it’s a small little shop, quiet and there’s only a few people there. They hang around the area all day, drinking coffee and Roderich just being absolutely smitten seeing him being such a dork with all the strangers in the street and stuff.
They take a quiet ride on the subway home, much past rush hour of course, and Roderich collapses onto the bed, while Gilbert figures out how to set up a vinyl record.
