Why Episode 53 is the Best

Before this episode aired, we were under the impression that Atem is the confident hero who has a protective, big brother instinct towards Yugi.

Then this episode aired, and we got this:

“What is this?! Where is the dueling arena?! What has Yugi done?!?!?!”

“I swear, Yugi has no taste in fashion.”

“My god, what are these flying rodents?!”

*insert dorky, indecisive groan here*

“How wonderful! What a rare find this is!”

“How is it fair that Tea gets to duel and I don’t?”

In other words, this is the first time we see Atem as a dorky 5,000-year-old teenage boy, and it is freaking hilarious.
