Francois wasn’t always so cold and distant, in both worlds, he was once loving and caring, not to mention suave and dashing. Though in the human AU, once his wife became sick and he began to feel hopeless, he left himself slide into drinking and then smoking. He stopped caring about almost everything after a point, because he didn’t see a point in trying after a while. Nothing was going to change, so why should he hope? Why should he care? Thus began his descent into emotional neglect and abuse for his son Matt. He was once a good father and husband, but once he lost hope, he became cold and bitter, and didn’t care about who he hurt. Francois was in pain, and that pain consumed him and jaded his views.
