A guy who’d been previously reported to the FBI and the Police was dropped off by an Uber, walked into a school, unchallenged by security or stopped by any sort of metal detector, and shot a bunch of kids while they waited for the cops to figure out what was going on and who was the culprit.
But it’s the rights of law abiding citizens that are the problem, sure.

Honey, look up how many of the shootings happen in “gun free zones” and then compare that to how many shootings happen in states/places with less gun laws and more people that legally openly or conceal carry. Like Texas for instance.

I never really know if i should be pro or anti guns in america. Mainly because school shootings never really happen here, and i think the last actual school shooting was in 1999? Not entirely sure tho. And we arent really allowed to own guns without any special training n such…BUT we are a WAY smaller country, our people have always lived without weapons and its a different environment. Its always a bit hard for me to pick a side so i dont really take a part in the discussion anymore idk.
Well, it has been proven that gun control is ineffective, at least in Western world’s, and the main problem is because mass killings still happen regardless. And yet, NO ONE THINKS TO JUST PUT A SMALL UNIT OF NATIONAL GUARDSMEN ON EVERY SCHOOL??!! SERIOUSLY?? 2 to 5 men, trained to guard shit, on every campus. Hell if it’s small enough, you probably have the local sheriff drop by with his deputy once a day. I mean, we guard our world leaders with a literal fucking army, but we can’t spare 100,000 personnel to protect our 90,000 schools? I mean, you can consider it training to deal with local foriegn populations and the monotony of guard duty and include the actual army and Marines and who ever else.

Well let me describe our schooling system and you decide whether or not you want to blow your brains out or not. Our system, pre-college, ranges from Kindergarten to 12th grade (K-12). Children start at 5-6 years old and it is literally illegal for them NOT to be in school. They all must be put at the same exact level of learning, regardless of need unless they’re special Ed. Teachers have a zero tolerance for “violence” which usually means the defendant gets punished even if they were attacked physically since all fights tend to magically stop when bully victims decide to swing back (at least from experience). Expulsion is rare but due to the bully usually not being caught in the act of fighting and only through hearsay, they tend to get a lighter suspension or the exact same suspension. This is usually doubled by parents who don’t comprehend the full story and just punish their kids for getting punished (luckily my mom understood the concept of innocent until proven guilty and taught me that if it was in self defense you will not be further punished, but if it was offensively, then doubley punished you get). In addition the bully is usually a bully because their parents don’t pay attention to them so they are rarely, if ever, punished. Hell, you’d be lucky to see their parents show up only to give the bully victim a stink eye because the victim also tends to be poorer then the bully’s family. Fucking bourgeoisie pricks (whoops my inner revolution is poking out). In addition, the school system assemblies that pop up like the D.A.R.E. program or the “Don’t drink and drive” ones, do nothing but provide a way for kids to get out of the classroom. It was the only recess given for us really. Everything else was boring and we only got like 10 minutes of break with a 30 minute lunch break. PE was the only fun physical activity class in school. I actively enjoyed that despite being a fatass (girls tended to not do shit unless they were sporty or flirting in later school levels). You’ll also notice that my main gripes are from a male perspective. That’s because our system is geared towards girls. You’ll also notice that it is mainly boys and men who tend to shoot up schools. I feel this is because boys are generally treated as a nuisance in a classroom not designed to teach them with staff that doesn’t really believe them to be innocent even if the bully turns out to be a girl. Heaven forfend you go to the teacher about a girl bullying you. They’ll either tell you to man up (funny since they’ve been telling us to not be boys and act more like the nice quiet giggling girls during class) or just go “daaawwwww you got yourself a little girlfriend. I ship it! That’s just her way of showing affection.” Ect (My God, school is sounding more like Tumblr…). Now I’ve never defended myself against a women bully, mainly because only one women bullied me and my friend put an end to that real quick (girls tended to be drawn to me as friends when I was younger. And also as I got older. So I never really had girl bully’s except that one cunt who poured lemon ice tea on me as I was walking home. My friend who happens to be a girl, punched her in the face so that was the first and last time I was bullied by a girl until I found Tumblr, but by this time I’m such a veteran at dealing with bullies that it’s child’s play. I am actively dissapointed at the level of bullying not reaching my standards on this site. Granted in grade K I was stabbed in the back of the neck with a pencil so the bar is pretty high).
TL;DR:
Boys have no emotional or physical support in classrooms. Teachers and staff are not taught to deal with investigating instances of violence and tend to just swing the gavel down on the person last seen swinging which tends to be boys defending themselves from an aggressor. In addition, boys are made to feel stupid because the way things are taught in school are not meant for anyone except those who do best at memorizing which tends to be females (of course not all I’m speaking in generalization here). And looking back at the different school shootings and their shooters being mainly male, I feel confident enough in my assertions to say this final line.
The school system is fucked.
I mean, some stuff is similar here because its the west as well but we seem to be a lot more…loose. And there is loads more emotional support n such. But im mainly speaking from my own experiences and i go to a school that has been announced to be the school with the least bullies in the whole country and yeah bullying barely happens here. Ive never seen a fight and only heard about one that happened recently. Plus we do have different ‘levels’ for kids and a lot of people come all the way to my school because we have more help for special needs kids and homework classes. Plus in the last year you have a coach who helps you ge through stuff.
So all in all, a better system. Not a perfect system I’m assuming, but definitely leagues above every American school I’ve been too.
Yeah it sounds better. Plus my school started doing this thing where they give us less classes and then we have to pick at least 4 each week so we can focus on classes we have more trouble with. So instead of having 4 hours of math and…lets say….english each week. You can choose to have 3 hours of math and 5 or maybe even 6 hours english.
That’s the type of system we need here in the states… Looks like I’m learning Dutch now.
