I didn’t get why he emphasized the word like that and I just assumed it was a joke I didn’t get because I don’t know enough English

I thought he did that because destructive and constructive sound about the same

I thought that at first too, but he took such a long pause afterward that I can’t help but be suspicious…..what is he up to
