My favourite thing about the Sanders Sides universe is that the canon is just vague enough that almost all theories are plausible. Like, I can see two opposing theories equally explaining what happens in canon.
Like, Thomas and Joan may have very rigidly-set rules for the universe, but they are slow to introduce those rules with us, leaving us to fill in the gaps with some really cool fan theories. And they don’t shoot down fans ideas either like other shows (*cough* Destiel *cough*), they let our creativity run wild. Television show creators should take a lesson from them.
Sure, some theories may get disproved as the series develops but no one’s ideas are ever ridiculed. They even ended ”Fitting In” in a way that lets fans classify the Sides in whichever Hogwarts house they see fit because they fit in more than one house (in different ways). Like fuck, Thomas, Joan, Talyn, and everyone else working on this web series are amazing. They may answer coyly to avoid spoilers but they don’t make fanders feel shitty for their off-coloured ideas and I love that.
This was supposed to be a short post about liking how the vagueness of the Sanders Sides canon allows for many possible theories but ended up being a longer post praising Team Foster Dawg. That’s OK. I meant every word of it.
