When Robin edits your videos do you give him specific instructions, like “edit all these bits out” or do you just trust his judgement?
also do you have him put in certain editing jokes or do they come more from his own mind? Some of those jokes are my favorite parts of your videos.
I’m curious b/c I can’t imagine turning over one of my projects to someone and letting them take stuff out of it without a lot of input. It must take a lot of trust.
It’s a bit of everything really. Usually if I have a specific thing in mind I’ll verbally tell him what to do IN the actual video. Other times he’ll pick up on what I want based on how I’m acting.
There are also lots of times where he’ll add his own spin on things that I wouldn’t have thought of and we roll with it. I trust his judgement a lot by now when it comes to the videos.
We’re very in tune with each other now so things flow pretty well and our heads are in the same place with jokes 🙂
