according to JKR, lockhart was born in 1964, which would make him 28 at the time of “chamber of secrets”

do you realize what this means

most of lockhart’s coworkers, who all hated him so much, may have had to teach him at one point.

snape would’ve been in school with him, albeit a few years ahead.

imagine teaching/going to school this raging narcissistic dumbass, and then he graduates and from then on, no matter how bad life gets, you think, “at least i’ll never have to deal with gilderoy fucking lockhart ever again”

and then

he gets famous

he’s hailed as a hero

your students and your mum all have crushes on him

and then

he gets hired at your place of work

tl;dr: lockhart is lucky no one in the staffroom stabbed him by midterm season

i’ve been getting regular e-mails from a charter school in Buffalo, NY meant for the mother of an until-now unnamed kindergarten student enrolled there and until this very moment had been holding back the urge to respond at all

i outed myself as not Taylor Taylor’s mother today for the first time through e-mail after receiving an e-vite from the mother of another girl inviting my daughter to a birthday party and saying her daughter really wanted taylor to be there and they hoped we could make it. i couldn’t let that little girl think taylor taylor knew about her party and didn’t come. not for the sake of comedy

i love my mother dearly but ability-wise she frightens me bc not only can she find 20 four leaf clovers within the span of like 2 minutes, everywhere, she can also write her name w/ both hands on a dry erase board or w/e at the exact same time and have both be a mirror image of one another

to add to this: i was making breakfast this morning and i hear “hey milo! look who came to say hello!” and, expecting like, a moth or a frog or something of that nature, i turn and she’s holding a snake

Yer ma’s a witch. Be nice to her

Or a superhero

Because a moth or a frog wouldn’t be equally terrifying??

THIS MADE ME SO HAPPY I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW PLEASE I ADVISE YOU GUYS TO DRAW ALONG WITH BOB ROSS IN MS PAINT IT IS AN EXPERIENCE I AM SO CONFUSED BUT PLEASED FUCKING DO IT

Bob Ross teaches you using layering and color theory, which are principles which work no matter what you paint with. Some materials won’t blend the same as oils obviously, but as Ross himself said, “you can paint with almost anything.”

Paint along with whatever you have, it’s great practice.
