Greetings! The name is Time Lizzy, or Time as my friends call me. They/Them pronouns. I love to try new things, draw, sing, dance, garden, and I do some witchcraft in my free time. I'm a Hetalia role playing partner if you guys are interested.
“Keeping the internet open is critical for us. It powers social movements, and provides a global platform for people of color, LGBTQ folks and the most marginalized communities to tell their own stories, run their own businesses and route around powerful gatekeepers.”—Candace Clement, Free Press Action Fund Campaign Director via @fight4future
Starting today, June 11, U.S. internet providers will be legally allowed to censor and block websites and apps, and force you to pay extra fees to to access your favorite places online. Your internet sanctuaries, the communities you are part of, the ones you have help build up, could be decimated.
Will it happen today? No. Next week? Probably not. The changes will not be swift. They will come piece by piece. A slow, tempered death to the free and open internet we love.
It doesn’t have to be this way. You can still make a difference, Tumblr. We need the House of Representatives to sign a discharge petition in support of the Congressional Review Act that would force a vote on the floor.
It’s so easy. Just go to BattleForTheNet.com, fill out the form, and follow their directions from there.
They have an updated widget for you to throw on your websites to urge others to make a difference. You can put it on your Tumblr. Let your followers know what you stand for, encourage them to do the same. It’s so easy to do. Just copy and paste their small line of code right into the customize theme page on the web.
Go, go, go, go. We know you have that passion in you. We’re fighting right alongside you.
every now and my cat does something very human like and i get very nervous and ask him “are you a person trapped in a cat’s body. or did you choose this body” very seriously to see if this time he will communicate with me and he always kinda looks to the side and then does what i imagine to be a person doing a bad impression of a cat and it makes me so nervous cuz i do way too much weird shit around my cat for him to actually be a dude pretending to be a cat
The type of anxiety this post invokes is so rare and specific
Ok so today I was on the bus with another trans guy and we were talking about how hard it is to get testosterone. The waiting lists, the price, all the doctors you have to go to, that kind of stuff. Except, we were calling it ’T’, like you do when you’re both closeted and in public.
Then suddenly the elderly lady sitting behind us was like ‘young men, either I’m going crazy or you both have never heard of supermarkets, they have shelves full of tea there! Do you need directions to one?’
To which my buddy starts to explain, because why not. ‘Well you see, we’re both trans, and… ’
The lady didn’t wait for him to finish his sentence. ‘Oh no, I don’t mind that at all! Now do you want to know how to get to a place that sells tea? I’m actually heading there right now!’
We let her take us to the supermarket. We let her show us, excitedly, where the tea was. We both bought loads.
Just as the Mayans predicted, the apocalypse came with the signal of a cough.

I REALLY HAVE TO REBLOG THIS IM SORRY THE FUCKING TEACHER
“Stop being dead right now”
That’s the reaction of an adult who delights in what you just did, but is in the position of Enforcing The Rules, so they have to tell you to stop anyway
Every time I see that glee face he gets its like “fine I guess I’ll reblog”
Tomorrow, there is a pretty good chance that Net Neutrality will be repealed. If it is repealed, I don’t know how fast it’ll take to go into affect. Net Neutrality is the principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favoring or blocking particular products or websites. Freedom over all the information on the internet, for free.
While I don’t know exactly what will happen, I have to say that I’m worried. The repeal of Net Neutrality means that any Internet Providers, like cable companies and such, can limit what you see and do on the internet. This could mean that I won’t have access to Tumblr or Facebook or YouTube or Instagram. Internet Providers could start making people pay for certain things and I’m broke enough as it is. I don’t know what’s in store or what’s going to happen, but just incase:
You guys, all of you, have been the best thing to ever happen to me. It makes me so glad that people are able to enjoy my content. There have been some bad times, sure, but I always had people helping and supporting me. And if something does happen, to where I won’t be able to use Tumblr anymore. Just know that I love each and everyone of you. And I was so lucky to be able to have a platform where I could share my thoughts and writings with people who were able to love them.
Maybe I’m just being an idiot, too dramatic and way too problematic, but I really am worried. And I will miss all of you.
No! I cannot lose my blog wife, my very best friend!!! But if it does happen, I love you and will wait till we’re able to talk again. You’ve been so supportive of everything I’ve done and have helped me through the worse of my depression and anxiety.
No matter what, we are friends and I love you.
As for my amazing, beautiful followers, I have cherished this time with you. With your help I’ve grown with my writing and feel confidently about sharing it with people. Thank you all for what you have done for this blog. And no matter whenever this law goes into effect, know that there are people out there willing to help and support you.
