you literally never need to send anyone an ask to tell them that you didn’t read their fic. that is not a thing you need to do. ever. if you can’t get into a fic and you’re just bursting to tell someone, text a friend. tell your dog. walk outside and shout it into the wind. i don’t care what you do but don’t contact the author because the author doesn’t need to know that.
