What if Virgil actually is not and he hasn’t been ever a Dark Side? – Color Wheel Theory

Since the latest video of Sander Sides-Can LYING Be Good?? came out, we have been formulating a lot of theories about the Light and Dark Sides. One of the most current and easy to see is that Virgil was/is actually a Dark Side, as we can see in the way he looked at Deceit(like if he knew him before Sander Sides happened) and Deceit looked at him when he revealed himself. Nevertheless, with a little quote that Thomas said and other theories that came out these days, I made this little theory and asked myself this question… It is actually Virgil a Dark Side or we just simply assumed he is?   

Okay, all started with this quote Thomas said to Roman in the video of Fitting It about dyeing his hair:

R: (…) Though, I still say you could have gone with even more colors! Full rainbow next time!

T: Oh, I’m already full rainbow all the time.

I know it was a funny comment from Thomas… but what if it was more deeper than we thought?

I think we already know that all Sander Sides have a characteristic color: Roman has red, Virgil purple, Patton light blue, Logan dark blue… and now, Deceit has yellow. I have to say I saw on Instagram this theory about all the sides being a Rainbow, some of them put also Thomas in the rainbow…  but, I believe, If we take Thomas words seriously, every Side is a representation of himself, his personality, as well as their colors… making him(Thomas) the Full Rainbow. This would also means that is going to be 7 Sander Sides in totally, 5 of 7 seen by now(March 2018)

However, if every Light Side have like their “opposite”(a Dark Side, as Patton supposedly have Deceit as their own), are we missing someone(to make 4 for each other side)? I think the colors Thomas chose to their sides are not coincidence. I think they could be a clue about their truly nature. This could mean that the other two sides left are Dark Sides with Deceit…

Patton, Logan and Roman came together at the first video, so that could mean that they are together, being the Light Sides. And then, Virgil appeared(for now, let’s see him as neutral). However, purple is not the opposite of blue-Logan/Patton or red-Roman… it is yellow-Deceit, an actually Dark Side-said by all of them-(and yeah, is something the Fanders came about too, I know). Deceit should have also the other two colors left with them, in the Dark Side, until now not revealed.

Nevertheless, come back to the Rainbow… the Dark Sides are together, in the same vein BUT the Light sides are not together, or at least with our Princey. Roman is not a Dark Side and is very far away from their mates… being Roman the one who most want to defeat the “bad guys” and protect his friends, is a little weird isn’ it? I mean, why they are separated if they are in the same Side?  I’ve been thinking that, this time, we should not look at the rainbow…  but a Color Wheel, where there are also all the colors.

The colors of the Rainbow are usually: red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, deep blue and purple… I think this time we should put Patton and Logan together in the same color scheme, bc sometimes the blue is also represented as one single medium blue and bc the heart and the mind walk hand in hand to be in full harmony, they represent our decisions(this is why Patton is light hearted and Logan have a deep mind…).

Deceit appeared in Patton’s spot.. but i don’t think it’s because he is his opposite. He was in Patton site bc he was faking being Patton. Of course lies can affect our decisions, but if we stick to their colours, blue and yellow are not opposites. And, most of the video, and at the beginning, he looked most to someone specifically…

And… here is where we have it. Purple is the opposite of Yellow, not Blue… and this is where I started to think, so, if the full rainbow/colors are Thomas, where we divide the Light Sides to the Dark Sides? We all know that Roman, Patton and Logan are Light Sides and Deceit is Dark, so… this would mean, if we divide knowing the color each one of them have… We got this:

VIRGIL IS ACTUALLY A LIGHT SIDE AND HE ALWAYS HAVE BEEN.

After Accepting Anxiety videos came out, we realized that Virgil is not actually bad. He always tried to help Thomas and the others. Take attention now on in their names: Patton(Pathos, emotion), Logan(Logos, logic), Roman(Romance, romanticisims)… but Virgil with Anxiety? I think we shouldn’t have called Virgil Anxiety at the beginning, because more than Anxiety he is Vigilance. If we looked carefully at a description of Anxiety and Vigilance:

I mean… Anxiety is closer to the descripion of a mental disorder or stress than Vigilance(i can go deeper in the description but that is not the point, I saw a post with a better description between Anxiety and Vigilance). As we can see in the last description of Vigilance, it is related to insomnia. Why Virgil have eyeshadows? Because he is the vigilant of Thomas, especially at night, that’s why it seems like he doesn’t sleep at all. He is doing it to protect Thomas, not to do harm to him or others… just as the Light Sides also try to do, protect Thomas.

But, we know that he have an history with Deceit and we know that he have something with the Dark Sides. I think by mistaken him to Anxiety was what caused all.

Thomas thought Virgil was bad(a Dark Side) a long time ago, and also the Light Sides did, especially Roman(we know how were their interactions at first, beacuase he thought he was the “enemy”). This leaded Virgil to joined the Dark Sides(Deceit + 2 left) because he didn’t want to be alone.

Imagine a little Virgil not knowing who actually was and then this snake-guy appeared telling him he was bad(falsehood), the Light Sides(their truly mates) will never liked him and he was meant to be a Dark Side: The Anxiety. All lies that Virgil believed… and so Thomas did for a long time. Then, Virgil created himself his emo and im-the-bad-guy aesthetic. Thomas indirectly passed him some of their likes(Bands, Disney, Tumblr…) but also their fears and insecurities.

And maybe, someday, Deceit(knowing who Virge really was) told Virgil to try making Thomas anxious, act like the “bad guy he have to be”, probably part of his plan to taking Thomas down. Then, Virgil realized step by step that Logan, Roman, Patton and especially Thomas, were actually good people with him, with a different treat than the Dark Sides… and he liked them. But, he could not like them, he was a Dark Side! Or at least that was he wanted to think…

The only one who treated Virgil with acceptence at the start was Patton and I think is because he had a hunch of who actually was him, like if he recognised that Virgil was with them since the beginning.

Then, Deceit discovered what was happening. He couldn’t let go his best piece of chess, so he made him believed that he was no necessary to Thomas. And that’s when Accepting Anxiety videos came out, and Virgil decide to stay with the gang, because with them he feel safe and sound and being more like himself(Vigilance, not Anxiety), unlike with the Dark Sides. And then, Deceit appeared, somehing that Virgil did not expected…

However, taking back to the colors match… I think we will see a few things in the future:

1. We will see the orange-side and green-side, which are seem to be Logan/Patton and Roman opposites, respectively.
2. Deceit is the opposite of Virgil and he will discover he was living with the “enemy” for a long time ago.
3. The guys will realized that Virgil was a Light Side all this time and they will protect and accept him more by then(although, Virgil is the true guardian angel of the Light Sides and Thomas, thats why he is their vigilante)
